Our client, a global properties & constructions company, is recruiting a Director of Events. This job is responsible for startup, building and managing the events production business unit of the HQ focusing on events related to consciousness raising and wellness, based in Shanghai, and is reporting to MD.

To be the director, you will manage the P&L and responsible for the strategic and growth goals of the HQ events business. Develop the business strategy of the events business. Build the events business organization / team. Develop / manage 1) the conceptualization of events and create events calendar; 2) approach and negotiate to secure speakers from overseas and from China; 3) secure events venue and execute the events production logistics; 4) manage the marketing and sales; 5) ensure consistency with overall Octave brand and support for Octave’s marketing and PR objectives. This job requires a very proactive and hands on commercial management approach that combines business development, PR and marketing and a deep passion for wellness.

This job needs high responsibility in 1) develop company’s business strategy; 2) build and manage organization for company’s business; 3) drive and manage the events production process; 4) drive revenue and profit growth; 5) drive positive synergies to build overall company’s brand and positioning in wellness space.

Ideally if you have 5+ years of event production experience, fluent in English and Chinese in both written and oral. Bachelor degree in business or related field.
