Our client is one of the global top properties & constructions companies. They are looking for a General Manager based in Suzhou. This role is responsible for ensuring the profit and growth and the successful opening of all operating components within the Hotels and facilities.
The main objectives of this role can be summarized as managerial / supervisory responsibilities, financial responsibilities and accountabilities, operational responsibilities, and training and development. In details, develop and drive the business strategy and ensure the Business Excellence frameworks are utilized in order to enhance business results; be demanding, critical and uncompromising when it comes to service and quality standards and the professionalism of the management team and colleagues in order to achieve the business objectives; allocate clear accountabilities for profit and ensure each operational department contributes the agreed budgeted profit, financial targets and other Key Performance Indicators; oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure appropriate capital expenditure projects are initiated in a timely manner to ensure the assets of the company are maintained properly; interact professionally and frequently with all stakeholders to ensure positive, rewarding relationships; ensure all health, safety, hygiene and other relevant legislative obligations are fulfilled to ensure the safety and healthiness of the hotel, guests and colleagues; manage the Crisis Management and Continuity of Business Plans and ensure relevant colleagues are fully briefed in order to manage severe events effectively; actively drive Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives within the hotel and local community, to project a positive image of the hotel and the company; chair regular communication meetings with the management team and actively participate in relevant business meetings to facilitate effective communication; perform any other duties that management may reasonably require; conduct weekly inspections of the property with recorded, for instance, Checks, reviews and proposes service standards established by the company; provides assistance to employees when required; maintains hotels policy regarding grooming standards; concerns and promotes the hotel’s environmental programs and other programs which are organized by the hotel and employees; controls waste by reducing and recycling waste and carefully utilizing our resources; builds and maintains inside and outside the Company the necessary, positive relations with others to be effective on the job; works effectively and cooperatively with others; to be evaluated according to the performance evaluation program; motivates all employees to grow within the company.
Ideally you should have industry experience in high end Resort Properties, Boutique Hotels, Spa Operations, Member Club operations. Minimum education is bachelor degree and 5 years Senior Management EAM/DGM/GM is perfect.
