Responsibilities & Qualifications:

1. Develop and deploy a Regional Distribution Center strategy included driving leverage of the operational activities and spends as well as optimizing the footprint / DC network
2. Develop and manage a strategy on outsourced versus in-house DC solutions to ensure the lowest possible costs, highest flexibility and a world class services in line with the Global strategy
3. Provide leadership on all Distribution Center activities included system and warehouse management solutions
4. Responsible for the selection (RFQ) and management of the 3PL solutions
5. Responsible in working cross functional for the in-house Distribution Center operations incl. the setup of new activities
6. Responsible for the full deployment incl. LEAN-SIX Sigma and the tools like 5S+1, Standard work, Visual warehousing, VSM standards, tools, KPI’s and Star Rating
7. Manage the outsourced and internal Distribution Center Operations.
8. Responsible for the successful on-time implementation of new finished good hubbing and distribution operations that are sustainable, flexible, robust and meet the customer’s and company’s requirements.
9. Implement operational metrics and measurements and ensure operations and costs are managed to metrics and goals
10. Responsible for establishing Distribution Center / Warehouse Master Service Agreements with 3PL providers.
11. Responsible for establishing Scope of Work with 3PLproviders based on company’s Site/s and/or Customer Requirements
12. Support successful operation of manufacturing site’s- and customer’s supply chains, through 100% fill rates.
Education / Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Typically requires 8-10 years of distribution, warehousing or equivalent experience.
Professional Affiliations Preferred e.g. CLM / Supply Chain
Scope/Key Relationships/Desired Impact:
Interfaces with BU’s / Sites / Global and European Logistics staff, 3PL’s, carriers and suppliers
Interfaces with finance and regulatory functions.
Interfaces with customer(s)
Works with external logistics suppliers in implementing processes, projects and day to day management
Strong knowledge of logistics industry and operations (warehousing, inventory management and transportation).
Strong knowledge of customs (import/export) procedures and requirements.
8+ years of business experience including coordinating multiple activities and objectives.
Demonstrated analytical skills, including financial analysis.
Project management skills.
Proficiency using PC, logistics, forecasting, project management tools and general computer systems.
Black Belt- Six Sigma – Lean certification or experience
