INTRODUCTION
A Top 500 fortune, NYSE listed company with their global finance shared services located in Shanghai with more than 10 different business units across China needed more than 200+ HR, finance and technical professionals to support their regional business across Asia Pacific.
The placement of these 200 staff spans across major cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Dalian, Chengdu and also other second-tier cities.
THE CHALLENGE
•A diverse range of job type positions
The client had an immediate business need to hire the 200 staff, however, the headquarters did not have the budget for this permanent headcount.
Hiring needs to be completed in a short period of time for each and every position released. On average, each position needs to be filled within 35 days after the requisition is issued.
• Only 6 months for some positions duration
With a shorter forecast on various businesses, the staffing needs for each position has been reduced. This means that for some of the positions to be hired. The staff is only required based on the duration of the project. In some cases, he project might only be 6-months.
The SSC is set up by business unit and lack of HR management experiences. It is run by business line, all members’ daily operation, HR management should be managed by outside resources.
All of these workers work in the WOFE need good English background, foreign company working style .

The contract staffing arrangement allowed the client to better support the rapid business growth with high scalability to cater for their future business needs (i.e. to increase headcount when there is a surge in demand or to reduce headcount when there is a dip in demand)
During the entire process, the client had only 1 contact point and window for each of their business units and shared service centers. This improved the work load efficiency of the client.
